We descended Bright Angel Trail from the canyon rim all the way down to Phantom Ranch on the Colorado River, a 6-hour (+/-) hike.

There we joined the rest of the adventurers and the four inflatable rafts which had already been on the river for several days, making their way down from Lee's Ferry.

Ten days later we came off the river at Diamond Creek.
